The newest release is always at the top. {% endhint %} *** {% updates format="full" %} {% update date="2026-09-03" %} ## Agents, Insights & a Smarter Darcy This release hands Darcy real engineering work and then shows you exactly how she did it. A new **coding agent** works through multi-step development tasks while you watch, and **Agent Activity** maps every step and tool call of any run into a graph you can click through. Alongside that: **typed columns** make Lists behave like a real database, your **daily briefing** is now yours to configure, and the model behind Darcy got a significant upgrade. #### Meet the Coding Agent You can now hand real, multi-step coding work to Darcy. She orients herself in the codebase, makes changes across files, and verifies her own work — streaming the whole thing as it happens instead of going quiet and returning a result. * **Delegate From Chat** — When a request looks like development work, Darcy offers to hand it off. Confirm with **Start coding agent** and the run begins in your conversation. * **Live Progress** — Steps stream in as the agent works, so you can follow its reasoning and stop it if it heads the wrong way. * **Reviewable Transcripts** — Every session is captured so you can go back and see exactly what was run and changed. > **Use Case:** Ask Darcy to fix a failing test suite. She finds the tests, reads the failures, edits the code, re-runs the suite, and shows you each step as it happens — rather than handing you a diff and asking you to trust it. > **Worth knowing:** The coding agent needs a computer to work on, so it appears once you have a cloud computer or a connected Darcy Desktop. This is Darcy's own coding agent — separate from the Cursor Cloud Agents support added in the last release. #### Agent Activity Every run Darcy makes is now something you can inspect. Open **Agent Activity** from the chat header to see the shape of the whole run. * **Graph and Timeline Views** — See the run as a connected graph of steps, or as a straight chronological timeline. * **Open Any Step** — Click a node for its source, the arguments it was called with, its full result, and any subagent steps beneath it. Each field has a copy button. * **Read Darcy's Reasoning** — Nodes carry what Darcy said immediately before making the call, so you can see *why* a tool was used, not just that it was. * **Step Through the Run** — **Previous call** and **Next call** walk you through the run one step at a time. * **Pin It Open** — **Pin** docks the graph beside your chat so it stays up as you keep working, instead of reopening it each time. > **Use Case:** Darcy returns a number you weren't expecting. Instead of asking her to explain, you open the graph, find the query she ran, read the arguments and the raw result, and see in one glance that she filtered on the wrong account. #### Lists, Redesigned Lists now understand the data they hold, which makes sorting, filtering, and math behave the way you'd expect. * **Typed Columns** — New columns are **Text**, **Number**, **Boolean**, or **Date and Time**. Each type sorts and filters correctly instead of treating everything as text, so `10` no longer sorts before `9`. * **Aggregations** — **Count**, **Sum**, and **Average** (along with minimum and maximum) are computed for you, including in the pivot table view. * **Server-Side Queries** — Filtering, sorting, and aggregation all happen on the server, so large lists stay responsive rather than pulling everything into your browser first. #### A Briefing Built Around You The Briefing widget on your homepage is now configurable. Click **Customize** on the widget to open **Customize your briefing**. * **Choose Your Sections** — Include or drop **To-dos**, **Meetings**, **Customer health**, and **Workflows**. Anything you deselect stops appearing. * **Pull From Your Integrations** — Add up to three connected integrations as briefing sources, so your morning read includes the systems you actually live in. * **Tell It What Matters** — A **What matters most to you** prompt lets you steer the briefing's focus in your own words. * **Preview Before You Commit** — See how the briefing will actually read as you change settings. * **Properly Formatted** — Briefings now render as full markdown, so headings, lists, and emphasis come through cleanly. > **Use Case:** A delivery lead drops customer health, keeps to-dos and meetings, adds their Linear and Sentry connections, and asks the briefing to lead with anything blocking this week's release. Every morning it opens with exactly that. #### AI Model Upgrade Darcy's AI just got a major boost in intelligence and output quality. * **20–40% More Intelligence** — Answers are noticeably sharper, more accurate, and better at complex, multi-step work where Darcy has to hold several things in mind at once. * **Anthropic Fable Quality** — Darcy now delivers Anthropic Fable Quality output for richer, more polished results. #### Darcy Desktop The desktop app, currently in beta, picks up a round of quality-of-life fixes. * **Right-Click Works** — Context menus function throughout the app, including on tabs, where you can **Close** a tab or **Close All to the Right**. * **More Tabs** — The tab limit has been raised so you can keep more workspaces open at once. * **Back and Forward** — Navigation buttons in the top bar, plus corrected colors on the close, collapse, and expand controls. * **Windows Subsystem for Linux** — Darcy Desktop now runs under WSL. #### UI & Accessibility Polish * **Dark Mode in Customer Views** — Dark mode now extends across customer-facing views, so the theme holds up wherever you navigate. * **A Consistent Design System** — Buttons, callouts, and warnings have been standardized platform-wide, so the same action looks the same everywhere. * **Accessibility Improvements** — Better support for assistive technology throughout the interface. * **Stricter Blueprint Sharing** — Blueprint sharing permissions are enforced more rigorously. Having access to the blueprints feature no longer implies access to every individual blueprint — you need to have been shared the blueprint itself. > **What this means for you:** Darcy is a more capable teammate this release, and a more legible one. You can hand her genuine engineering work and watch it happen, then open the graph and see precisely how any answer was produced — which is the difference between a tool you use and one you trust. Add typed Lists that handle real data, a briefing shaped around your day, and a sharper model underneath, and there's a lot worth digging into. > {% endupdate %} {% update date="2026-08-23" %} ## 85 New Integrations, Darcy Desktop Beta & Cursor Cloud Agents This is our largest integration release to date. Darcy now connects to **85 new tools** across billing, cloud, CRM, development, marketing, productivity, legal, and more. Get everything you love about Darcy in a dedicated application — plus the ability to interact directly with your local computer. * **Native apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux** — Install Darcy as a first-class desktop application on any major operating system, with the same chat, integrations, workflows, and features you use in the browser. * **Local computer interaction** — Grant Darcy access to a folder on your machine and agents can read, edit, and create files directly in your local projects. Run your actual test suites, execute builds, and work with your real codebase — changes appear in your IDE the moment they're saved. * **Seamless cloud sync** — Files and context move between your desktop and the cloud sandbox, so you can combine local project access with cloud-based analysis and processing. Grant Darcy access to your project folder and ask it to run your test suite, fix failing tests, and update your source files directly — all without leaving the desktop app or switching to your terminal. #### Cursor Cloud Agents Darcy now integrates with Cursor Cloud Agents, letting you launch and manage coding agents directly from chat or TestDrive. * **Cursor Cloud Agent integration** — Connect your Cursor account and launch coding agents that can work on your repositories, with streaming output visible in the Darcy chat interface. * **Launch from chat with approval gate** — Cursor agent launches from chat go through an approval flow where you can review and edit parameters (including target repositories) before the agent starts. #### Outlook Integration The Outlook integration has been expanded with shared mailbox support and richer email management tools. * **Shared mailbox support** — Connect to and operate from shared mailboxes, not just personal ones. * **Folder management** — Move emails between folders and list available folders directly from chat. * **Categories and read status** — Apply categories to emails and manage read/unread status, giving agents full email triage capabilities. > **Use Case:** Ask Darcy to triage your shared support mailbox — move resolved threads to an archive folder, mark them as read, and apply a "Completed" category — all through natural language. #### Chat & UX Improvements A smoother, more polished experience across the platform. * **Dark mode enhancements** — Dark mode has been refined across components with updated colors, button styling, and integration logo styling for a consistent look. * **Chat history search improvements** — Search now matches chat titles more accurately and shows a filtered result count below the search bar. * **Larger paste support** — Paste limit increased to 20,000 characters, so you can drop longer content directly into chat. * **Infinite scroll fix** — Chat lists no longer get stuck in an infinite scroll loop, and agent runs are properly filtered from chat history. {% endupdate %} {% update date="2026-08-15" %} ## Home Dashboard, Dark Mode & Platform Enhancements This release is about making Darcy feel like yours. The **home dashboard** is now a customizable bento layout of draggable widgets, **dark mode** covers every screen in the platform, and **timezone support** means schedules finally run on your clock instead of UTC. Underneath, the AI engine gained AWS Bedrock Mantle models, longer-running task tolerance, and automatic handling of oversized tool results. #### Home Dashboard Your homepage is now something you arrange rather than something you're handed. * **Bento-Style Widget Layout** — Drag widgets and charts into the arrangement that suits how you work, or start from one of the preset layouts. * **Add, Remove & Focus** — Pick exactly which widgets appear, and toggle focus mode when you want fewer distractions. * **Your Layout Persists** — Widget arrangements are saved per user, so your homepage looks the same every time you come back. #### Dark Mode * **Platform-Wide Theme Toggle** — A control in the top navigation switches between light and dark instantly. * **Consistent Everywhere** — Buttons, pills, cards, modals, forms, and error states have all been restyled with semantic color tokens, so both themes look deliberate rather than inverted. > **Use Case:** You arrange your homepage around the widgets that matter — customer intelligence briefings, recent tasks, scoping summaries — then flip on dark mode for a late-night working session. Your layout follows your account to any device; the theme is remembered by the browser you set it in. #### AI & Performance * **AWS Bedrock Mantle (BYOK)** — Point your organization's inference at a Bedrock project in your own AWS account, then choose which model powers each of Darcy's smart, fast, and analytical tiers. Set it up under **Settings → Organization → Model Routing**. Models route through their native API surfaces for the best performance. * **Oversized Results Handled Automatically** — When a tool returns an especially large result, Darcy pipes it to a workspace file and works from there, so heavy data loads no longer bog down the conversation. * **Longer Task Tolerance** — The agent adaptive stream timeout moved from 15 seconds to 45 seconds, which cuts premature timeout errors on longer-running work. * **In-Sandbox File Editing** — The `edit_file` tool now runs in-sandbox and returns structured results, making edits more reliable and predictable. * **Validated React Artifacts** — Darcy validates React code before presenting it, so artifacts render consistently instead of failing after the fact. * **Copy Code Blocks** — Code blocks in chat now have a one-click copy button. #### Timezone & Scheduling Timezone handling is now user-aware across onboarding, profiles, and automation schedules. * **Set Your Timezone Once** — Choose your timezone during onboarding or from your profile, and automation schedules use it instead of defaulting to UTC. * **Timezones in Results** — Automation tool result detail cards show the timezone alongside the timestamp. * **Clearer Scheduling Guidance** — Timezone guidance in agent and automation tool descriptions has been shortened and clarified, making schedules easier to get right the first time. > **Use Case:** A project manager in London sets their timezone during onboarding. Every automation schedule, result timestamp, and scheduling prompt now reflects local time — no more mental UTC conversions. #### Workflows & Automation * **Warnings Before You Delete or Disable** — Deleting or disabling a workflow now tells you which automations depend on it and notifies the other users affected. * **Cross-User Impact Alerts** — Delete and archive dialogs flag when an action reaches into other people's workflows or automations, shown anonymously. #### Scoping, Skills & MCP Studio * **Quantity-Based Effort in Scoping** — Level of effort can now be entered by quantity alongside the existing modes, giving you more ways to estimate project work. * **Files at Skill Creation** — Skills can be created with their reference materials attached, instead of only being able to add files after the fact. * **Cursor-Compatible MCP Snippet** — The MCP Builder connect snippet now uses headers Cursor accepts. * **Steadier MCP Studio Builds** — The MCP SDK is pinned to a stable version, and MCP servers can be duplicated again. * **MCP Issues Surfaced** — Problems with MCP integrations during background workflow runs are now reported rather than failing quietly. #### Per-Tool Permissions for Integrations An MCP integration hands Darcy a whole set of tools at once. You can now decide about them one at a time. * **Three Settings Per Tool** — Open a connected integration's **Tool Permissions** tab and set each tool to **Enabled**, **Enabled + Requires Approval**, or **Disabled**. Everything starts enabled, and changes save immediately. * **Approval Before Use** — Tools marked for approval prompt you in chat before each call, so Darcy can hold the ones that write, send, or delete until you say go. * **Disabled Means Disabled** — A disabled tool is never offered to the model and is refused if anything tries to call it. * **Set Once for Everyone** — Permissions live on the integration, so they apply to every person it's shared with. Anyone with Write access can change them; Read access sees them but can't. > **Use Case:** You share a Jira MCP with your delivery team. Reading issues and searching projects stay enabled, transitioning an issue needs your approval, and deleting one is disabled outright — for everyone using it, without trusting each person to be careful. > **Worth knowing:** Approval is a chat gate. Scheduled automations and agent runs have nobody to ask, so approval-marked tools run normally there. If a tool must never run unattended, disable it. #### Lists, Permissions & Integrations * **Bulk Row Updates** — Lists support match-based bulk updates, so changing many rows no longer means changing them one at a time. * **`insert_rows` Without Approval** — Inserting rows no longer requires approval or advanced permissions. * **Granular Customer Intelligence Access** — Write permissions for Customer Intelligence have been split into finer scopes, including a dedicated customer update permission. * **Glossary Approval** — Glossary permissions are now enforced at tool-call time, and glossary update tools require human approval. * **Salesforce File Downloads** — Darcy can download files from Salesforce directly to her computer. * **Large Salesforce Results Spill to Workspace** — Oversized artifacts from Salesforce files and SOQL queries now spill to workspace storage instead of failing outright. #### Account Search & Artifacts * **Projects and Tasks From Search** — Account search results show associated projects and an **Open Task** button for creating a task on the spot, with project association supported on task actions. #### Meetings * **Better Past Meetings View** — The past meetings experience has an improved layout and more usable functionality. #### Bug Fixes * **Meetings** — Fixed recordings that couldn't be uploaded, a rare speaker attribution error where labels weren't passed to the summarizer, and problems joining Google Meetings. * **Salesforce & CRM Sync** — Fixed filter logic bugs in the SOQL query builder, and architect and engineer hours are no longer swapped when syncing scoping estimates to Salesforce. * **Schedules & Automations** — Resolved bugs in the schedule timezone selector and cron picker, including misparsed weekday ranges, and archived schedule automations no longer reappear in the active list. * **Artifacts & Vault** — Fixed the missing globe icon that broke the artifact share flow, select and actions not working when a filter is applied, artifacts not updating when saved to a project, and users with large numbers of artifacts unable to see all of them. * **Lists** — Fixed lead list processing stalling with rows stuck as pending. * **Chat Window** — An enlarged chat window no longer shrinks back after you send a message. * **Customer Intelligence** — Fixed a failure when adding a contact. * **Files** — Improved handling of oversized files and fixed memory leaks in the file renderer. * **User Groups** — Fixed an error when creating a user group with custom role attachments. > **What this means for you:** Darcy now adapts to how you work rather than the other way around. Your homepage holds the widgets you actually use, the platform matches whichever theme you prefer, and schedules run on your clock. On the engine side, longer tasks survive, oversized results get handled instead of breaking things, and Bedrock Mantle joins the models you can bring your own keys for. > {% endupdate %} {% update date="2026-07-27" %} ## Plan Mode, Faster Navigation & Shareable Agents This release is about control and speed. **Plan mode** lets you approve Darcy's approach before she starts work, the redesigned **command menu** puts every page and every piece of your workspace one keystroke away, and **shared agents now bring their integrations and skills with them** so they actually work for the people you share them with. The Artifact Vault also gains the archive-and-restore safety net the rest of the platform already had. #### Plan Mode For work that's long-running, expensive, or hard to undo, you can now ask Darcy to show her plan before she commits to it. Darcy drafts a numbered set of tasks, waits for your approval, then works through them one at a time while you watch progress. * **Approve, Edit, or Reject** — Every proposed plan arrives as a card. Accept it to start work, edit it to steer the approach and get a revised plan back, or reject it outright. * **Live Progress** — Once a plan is running, a progress bar above the message box shows the current task and how many are complete. Expand it for the full checklist. * **Pause and Resume** — If Darcy comes back with a question instead of an action, the plan pauses and hands control to you. Continue when you're ready, or exit the plan entirely. * **Two Ways In** — Toggle plan mode from the chat toolbar, or just type `/plan`. > **Use Case:** You ask Darcy to migrate a client's reporting pack to a new template. Instead of watching her rewrite forty documents and hoping she got the approach right, you review a seven-step plan, correct step three, accept it, and track each document as it's completed. #### Command Menu & Slash Commands Navigation got a lot faster. Press **Ctrl + K** (**⌘ + K** on Mac) anywhere in DarcyIQ to jump to any page or search everything you've created. * **Jump to Any Page** — One filterable list of every destination you have access to, from Chat and Projects to MCP Studio and Settings. * **Search Your Whole Workspace** — Projects, meetings, workflows, lists, artifacts, and tasks in one place. Projects and artifacts are both new to search this release. * **Search Within One Area** — Highlight a destination and press **Tab** to scope your search to just that area, so a common word doesn't return everything you own. * **Slash Commands in Chat** — Type `/` in the message box for shortcuts: `/plan`, `/attach`, `/draw`, `/skills`, `/meeting`, `/project`, and `/integrations`. * **Your Prompts as Commands** — Every saved prompt automatically becomes its own slash command, grouped under Quick Prompts. A prompt called "Create a follow-up email" is now just `/create-a-follow-up-email`. > **Use Case:** Mid-conversation you need the notes from last month's kickoff. **Ctrl + K**, arrow to Meetings, **Tab**, type the client name — and you're looking at the transcript without ever leaving what you were doing. #### Shared Agents Bring Their Dependencies Sharing an agent used to hand someone a configuration that didn't quite work, because the integrations and skills it depended on stayed behind. Now they come along. * **Dependencies Included** — Sharing an agent grants the recipient read-only access to the integrations and custom skills it uses, so it behaves for them the way it does for you. * **See Exactly What's Shared** — The share dialog lists what's included, grouped into Integrations and Skills, before you confirm. * **Know Before You Break Something** — Archiving a skill or disconnecting an integration now warns you how many agents depend on it and names them, flagging any that are shared. * **Traceable Access** — On an integration or skill, anyone who reached it through a shared agent is listed under **Via shared agents**. Un-share the agent and the access goes with it. * **Safer Archiving** — Archiving an agent now pauses its schedules and deactivates its automations, listing what will be affected first. Restoring re-enables schedules but deliberately leaves automations off until you switch them back on. > **Use Case:** You share your "QBR Prep" agent with a new team member. It works on their first try — the HubSpot integration and your reporting skill came with it — and when you later archive that skill, you're told upfront that two agents and one shared recipient rely on it. > **Worth knowing:** Sharing an agent is a real grant of access to its integrations and skills, and that access can't be removed piece by piece while the agent is shared. If someone shouldn't reach a particular integration, don't share an agent that depends on it. #### Skills: Preview Before You Install * **Read Before You Add** — Open any catalog skill to read its full instructions and see its attached files in a read-only preview, then install straight from that view. * **Clear Install State** — Buttons move through **Add**, **Added**, and **Update** so you always know whether your copy is current. * **Agent Skills Load Themselves** — Skills assigned to an agent now switch on automatically when you select it, shown as locked with an **Enabled by {agent}** badge. No more wondering why an agent isn't using the skill you gave it. * **Organization-Scoped Catalog** — Publishing shares a skill within your own organization, and only the publishing organization can update or unpublish a listing. #### Artifact Vault: Archive, Restore & Bigger Artifacts The Vault now follows the same recoverable lifecycle as the rest of the platform. * **Archive Instead of Delete** — Deleting an artifact archives it. Switch to the archived view to restore it, or delete it permanently when you're certain. * **Retention Countdown** — Archived artifacts show the date they'll be permanently removed, so nothing disappears without warning. * **Agents Can Tidy Up, Not Destroy** — Agents can archive and restore artifacts on your behalf, but permanent deletion stays a human decision. * **Artifacts Over 250 KB** — The old size ceiling is lifted. Large artifacts are stored in full and loaded on demand, with a preview shown if the full version can't be fetched. * **Consistent Identity** — Editing a Vault artifact in chat now keeps its identity and its public share link instead of creating a new artifact. #### Lead List Exports * **Every Row, Not Just the Page** — Exports are now generated server-side and include the entire list rather than only the rows loaded on screen. * **Export by Status** — Export all leads, or just the complete, processing, failed, or disqualified ones, with counts shown next to each option. * **Opens Cleanly in Excel** — Exported files are encoded so accented and special characters render correctly instead of turning into garbled text. #### Integrations * **Outlook Shared Calendars** — Darcy can now list shared calendars and read events from a colleague's calendar when they've shared it with you, not just your own. * **Salesforce Sandboxes & My Domain** — A new optional **Salesforce Login URL (My Domain)** field under Advanced settings lets you connect sandboxes and orgs whose OAuth is bound to a My Domain. Production orgs on the standard login host need nothing. * **Guided Connection Flow** — Connecting an integration now walks you through choosing it, configuring it, and confirming it's connected. > **Action required for Outlook users:** Shared-calendar access needs a new Microsoft permission. If you connected Outlook before this release, **disconnect and reconnect** the integration to grant it. Existing email and personal calendar features keep working either way. #### Additional Improvements * **Response Alerts** — A bell in the chat toolbar can notify you when Darcy finishes a long response, so you can switch tabs and get pulled back when it matters. * **Send an Agent a Task Directly** — Click any agent card in the Agents drawer to describe a task and hand it off. Progress appears under To Do's & Tasks. * **Unified Knowledge Base Search** — Darcy now searches across all the knowledge bases you're authorized for through a single search step, choosing the right one instead of juggling a separate tool per base. * **Calculations Run as Code** — The dedicated math tool has been retired in favor of Darcy writing and running real code in DarcyOS. Statistics, financial models, and unit conversions are now handled with Python, which means she can show her working, run them across a whole dataset, and chart the result in the same step. * **Inline Project Creation** — Create a project directly from the project picker when saving an artifact, instead of breaking off to set one up first. * **Branded Status Pages** — If DarcyIQ is ever unavailable, you now get a clear page pointing at our live status page rather than a browser error. #### Bug Fixes * **Business Reports** — Fixed business report generation failing outright with "No response received from business report generator." * **Lead List Exports** — Exports were dropping every row past the visible page and producing garbled characters in Excel.
