Required Credentials

To enable the Salesforce integration, you'll need to provide:

  1. Salesforce Username

    • Dedicated service account recommended

    • Read-only access to customer accounts

    • Write access limited to account notes

  2. Salesforce Password

    • Secure password for authentication

    • Consider using a service account password

Setup Steps

  1. Create Salesforce Service Account

    • Log into Salesforce as admin

    • Create new user for DarcyIQ integration

    • Configure minimum required permissions:

      • Read access to accounts

      • Read access to contacts

      • Read access to opportunities

      • Write access to account notes

  2. Configure in DarcyIQ

    • Select "Salesforce Integration"

    • Enter your:

      • Salesforce Username

      • Salesforce Password

    • Save your configuration

Automatic Account Association

Once configured, DarcyIQ will:

  • Automatically detect customer context in your work

  • Link activities to the correct Salesforce accounts

  • Update account notes with relevant insights

  • Maintain activity history for future reference

Security Best Practices

  1. Service Account

    • Create a dedicated service account for DarcyIQ

    • Don't use personal Salesforce credentials

    • Regularly rotate service account password

  2. Permissions

    • Maintain minimal required access levels

    • Regularly audit permissions

    • Remove unnecessary access rights
